Every woman dreams of an aesthetical buttock appearance and a slim waist. They are always important for general aesthetic appearance of our body. Aging, genetic factors, gravity, fluctuations in body weight, and pregnancy can cause deformities on the shape and curve of the buttocks. Excessive enlargement of the buttocks, flattening because of losing volume, sagging and disappearance of the waist curve are the most frequent problems. If a person has a beautiful bottom structure; exercises, self-care and a healthy will be sufficient to reveal and maintain an aesthetical appearance. If the structure of the buttocks is in an undesirable condition due to the genetic factors, gluteoplasty can be administered. There are different methods to perform this surgery. Method choice will be made according to the needs and expectations of the patient.
How is gluteal augmentation administered?
In order to give buttocks a higher and curvier structure, gluteal augmentation surgery is administered by using silicone implants. In this method, the surgeon makes a 5 centimeters incision on the gluteal cleft to place the implants into the gluteal muscles. Implants will contribute to the round and fully shape of the buttocks because they are placed into the muscles. In some cases silicone implant method may be performed in conjunction with liposuction. If the patient’s gluteal area is overly sagged, buttock lift and gluteal augmentation may be performed at the same time. The surgeon makes an ellipsoidal shaped incision at the lower back in order to remove excessive skin and fat in buttock lift surgery. The incision runs from hip to hip and can be covered by underwear.
What happens after the surgery?
The patient stays in hospital under observation overnight. He/she can be discharged from the hospital on the next day. The patient may have difficulties in moving and have aches after a few days from the surgery. Ingestant painkillers prescribed by your doctor will be sufficient to relieve your pain. A corset which prevents the formation of swelling and edema should be worn for three or four weeks.
Will I have difficulty in standing up and sitting down after the surgery?
Gluteoplasty does not affect your ability of standing up or sitting down adversely.
How long does the healing process take?
The patient can take a shower on the third day, move on his/her social and business life on the fifth day and can do physical exercises on the fourteenth day after the surgery. Empurpling and edema will fade away after the fourth week of surgery. A corset which prevents the formation of swelling and edema should be worn for three or four weeks only except in the shower.
