If so, purple spots or edemas around the eyes will be lessened on the very next day of the operation. They will be absent in a week or two. The swelling also will be decreased slowly. Smoking before or after the operation is not advised because smoking slows down the healing process and causes breathing problems. It is advised to sleep by slightly lifting your head up and to apply cold compress in order to prevent inflation and empurpling. Nasal cast is removed by the doctor within a week approximately. But sometimes it stays more than a week.
